1. Who we are
Tape DSP is the website and downloadable plug-ins at tapedsp.com. Privacy questions: contact@tapedsp.com.
2. Account data
When you create an account we store the email address you provide, a hashed password, and the Terms version and time you accepted. We use this to sign you in, send verification and security mail, and keep the account working.
If you use Tape DSP, we may also keep service records needed to run the account — for example activation, entitlements, machine seats, credit balance, and notice acknowledgements.
3. Plug-in activation
A plug-in may send a randomly generated installation identifier, the product name and version, and basic operating-system information so we can activate the license, apply Expansion or Collection unlocks, enforce the machine-seat limit, deliver updates, and show product notices. We do not use this to upload your audio.
4. Audio
The downloadable plug-ins process audio on your computer inside your DAW. They do not transmit, upload, or store the audio you process.
5. Cookies and local storage
Essential cookies keep you signed in, protect the session, and run the service. They are always on.
With your consent we also use analytics and advertising cookies (including Google Analytics and Google Ads) to measure use and advertising. Those stay off until you accept the cookie notice. Browser local storage remembers interface preferences and whether you have seen that notice.
6. Payments
Expansions, the Collection, and credit packs are paid through Lemon Squeezy. Lemon Squeezy processes the card or other payment method and may act as merchant of record. Tape DSP does not store your full card number. After payment we receive confirmation such as your account email, the product purchased, and the amount so we can grant the unlock or credits.
7. How we use information
We use this information to operate accounts and plug-in licenses, deliver what you bought, provide support, keep the service secure, prevent abuse, and — only if you consented — measure and promote the service.
8. Sharing
We share data with the processors that run the product: hosting, email delivery, Lemon Squeezy for checkout, and Google for analytics or ads if you consented. We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the service or other users.
9. Retention
Account and entitlement records last while the account is open, and for a limited time afterward if we need them for security, billing, or legal reasons. You can ask us to close an account and delete personal data we no longer need to keep.
10. Your choices
You can decline non-essential cookies, stop using the service, or email us to ask what we hold or to delete an account. Mandatory rights in your country still apply.
